Phase 1: Sustainable Aviation Fuel

LOKEN employs an integrated approach, harnessing multiple technologies to efficiently convert renewable waste into Sustainable Aviation Fuel, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Recognizing the urgency of decarbonizing aviation, we understand that collaboration is key. No single technology can single-handedly combat carbon emissions; it requires a collective effort. At LOKEN, we take pride in our role as pioneers in integrating multiple SAF technologies within our Carbon Cycle Complex. By repurposing local waste materials as feedstocks for SAF production, we foster circular economy practices, and contribute to a decarbonised future for air travel. This innovative solution not only addresses the environmental challenges posed by traditional fossil fuels but also offers alternative pathway towards achieving sustainable aviation and mitigating the industry's carbon footprint.

Phase 2:
Bio-Ethanol

Bio-ethanol stands out as a significant option in our drive for a sustainable future, providing a renewable substitute for ethanol made from 1st generation feedstock which are typically food-based crops. It serves as sustainable transportation fuel, reducing emissions and promoting cleaner air when it is blended with gasoline. Bio-ethanol finds various applications in consumer goods like cosmetics and medicines, supporting a sustainable supply chain by decreasing reliance on limited supply globally. We also process bio-ethanol into bio-ethylene for eco-conscious plastic goods and could be further upgraded into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for a greener aviation industry. Phase 3:
R&D Centre

LOKEN is set to establish a Research and Development Centre, aiming to become the leading hub for renewable innovations in Malaysia. The centre will focus on green technologies and catalyst development, driving the commercialization of renewable solutions. With a steadfast commitment to research and advancements, LOKEN aims to revolutionize the renewable energy landscape by integrating practical, environmentally friendly, and economically viable solutions. Collaborating closely with public and private universities, our R&D Centre seeks to synergize resources, fostering a dynamic ecosystem that encourages the growth of groundbreaking ideas. LOKEN's dedication is to push the boundaries of renewable energy, embracing challenges with optimism, and shaping a more eco-conscious for Malaysia and beyond.

Phase 4:
Bio-Butadiene

The manufacturing of rubber can be environmentally friendly and with less use of fossil fuels by switching to bio-butadiene, a renewable and sustainable alternative to traditional petroleum-based butadiene. The innovative process involves converting alcohol into bio-butadiene through carbon-negative technology, effectively removing carbon dioxide from the environment during production. This groundbreaking approach not only yields a renewable and sustainable alternative to traditional butadiene but also contributes to a cleaner and greener future. LOKEN's bio-butadiene petrochemical refinery stands as a beacon of progress, showcasing the possibilities of harmonizing cutting-edge technology with environmental responsibility to drive positive change in the petrochemical sector.
